12:06am: AMVs and hot cars.
I have finally started to produce my next AMV. The music was purchased off of Amazon. The song White Dove by the Scorpions never made it to the US so the CDs I bought came from overseas. Im also going to be working on an Anime Expo video at the same time, so expect some fun stuff soon.

Below is the next car I am going to own. I want a small, fast sedan. I have had coupes all my life and I'm growing tired of them. From Chevelles to Mustangs to Z24s, I will now own a foreign car. Some of my friends will call me a ricer, but once I drive them around in this 300hp auto they will change their views about them.

10:53pm: AX2006 & Las Vegas Fun
Our trip started on June 30th with the plane departing from O'Hare to Orange County. It was a non-stop four hour flight. After arriving at John Wayne International Mandy and I picked up our Mustang convertible. The Hilton Suites we stayed at were very nice. We had a full bedroom suite with a seperate living room. At night we could look out our window and watch the fireworks they had every night at Disneyland. This was very romantic. The Anime Expo was intense...so many people you could hardly move sometimes. We were seven minutes away from the event so it was a pain in the ass finding parking when we got there. The hightlights of the convention were the millions of well-dressed cosplayers, and the festival they had on the convention center's rooftop everynight. The panels were overflowing and if you wanted to see the AMV or Masquerade you had to line up for tickets, then line up hours before the event. So with that said we didnt want to wait in lines on our trip so we made the best of it by visiting the dances and video halls hosted at the attached hotels. During our stay in Anahiem we took our Mustang to the beach, Newport and Laguna. The sand was pure white and the weather was beautiful. July 5th we headed to Las Vegas. We stayed at the Hilton Grand Vactions Resort located next to the Las Vegas Hilton. The weather was hot but dry. The helicopter ride over the strip at night was incredible. Mandy had fun catching beads at the Rio Casino during their ceiling parade they have every day. The Luxor was cool, and the Stratosphere had the best views of the strip. The Star Trek experience is at the Las Vegas Hilton so we purchased tickets on our third day. It was an awesome time. Fremont street where the old Las Vegas strip is was great, we made most of our money there on slots. Below are some pictures of the Expo and will be adding videos to youtube in the near future.

11:37pm: Creativity and a Doctor's Call
I was wanting to find the Scorpions title that features White Dove on it so I could start working on my AMV today. No luck so I will be hunting it down online.

My doctor had called when I was out with Mandy today. He mentioned that all my tests looked normal except for one. An appointment is being made for me to see a specialist at the University Hospital. Finally I may get some closure on what has been bothering me for the last year.

I scored the first three volumes of the Initial D manga, at Radio Shack of all places, for $2.49 total. Yep, that was a friggen great deal.

I played party poker tonight and took first in a single tourny table. All the players were really good. One highlight was when me and another player went heads up, and we ended up going all in on the River. When I called his all in, I found out we had the exact same hand, being a full house. So we split the pot. The play for that hand was nice and intense with my hesitation play to look like I had a weak hand, and I would call but never raise. A few hands later and I was heads up again with him, He was sporting a possible strait and I had two pair. Then lady luck smiled on me and handed me a nuts flush on the river. My hesitation play worked well. I checked when I knew I had the hand, and the player bet. I re-raised his bet and he went all in. The rest was history. Its nice when you get the cards, but also nicer when your betting bluffs work heads up. Fun game, I may start playing for serious money, and join a whole new school of gamblers.

11:18pm: My Life in 2006
I have been watching Initial D. Playing D&D. Enjoying every moment I'm with Mandy. Xbox related study. Visiting the Hospital on a weekly basis. Working like everyone else. Planning for Anime Expo and Las Vegas this Summer. Just your normal everyday stuff. Good times and Good friends. Thank you for reading my live journal entry.

10:36pm: Look its another R/C vehicle.
Ah yes another R/C model that I want to purchase. Its the new Mini-LST 1/18 Monster Truck from Losi.

A fun setup for the money. More of a racing vehicle then a toy.

D&D this Sunday went smoothly. We now have 6-7 players and Tom opted to Co-DM with me. Everyone had a good time. Doug brings a few different card games everytime he attends. I'm glad for this because it mixes up the day.

A quiz just mentioned to me.

You scored as The Operative. You are dedicated to your job and very good at what you do. You've done some very bad things, but they had to be done. You don't expect to go to heaven, but that is a sacrifice you've made for a better future for all.

Now for those of you who didn't know I love to shoot firearms. I havn't been to the range lately due to the high cost of practicing. Tonight I was looking at my favorite rifle maker and I have decieded on a new rifle.

I know Mandy doesn't care for guns but I have a few friends that read my journal that are into this. So for you guys, I'm planning on a trip to Wisconsin this Spring to fire the new rifle. While we are there we could do some skeet shooting.

10:29pm: Advent
Today I saw FFVII Advent Children at my friend Chris's home. The movie had breathtaking graphics along with a nice storyline. After the show we watched a bunch of XBOX 360 and PS3 game trailers. Also one of his friends brought over a hacked PSP and we were playing BLEACH 2 on it. Fun day today.

The weekend with Mandy was fantastic. Friday night she came up to my place and we went out for Chinese. We met my co-workers there for a few drinks and dinner. After that we headed over to the Karaoke cafe just a block away. My employer also owns this business so it was free drinks for all of us. Mandy was the first to pick up the microphone with no fear and started singing. She has a beautiful voice. I picked up the mic and sang the lyrics to Pink Floyd's Another brick in the wall. It was a blast. The best song I sang was Cocaine by Eric Clapton. We also sang a duet together, it was Aerosmith's Walk this Way soundtrack. We did well, but the rhythm was fast and I had a hard time keeping up with the speed of the lyrics. I want to visit this cafe again. Being around Mandy has made me comfortable doing new things.

Our D&D group has swelled to a large number of players. There are eight total now. Thanks to Mandy's friends the group is really having fun. I have enlisted the help of one of the players to co DM if needed. A guy to keep track of initiative, HP, Monster Stats, ect... I will be in charge of story line and loot. After about four to five gaming sessions I may become a player and let someone else DM. I really only wanted to be a player, but I could never find a group to game with giving me the reason to DM.

8:22pm: Sitting at the computer all day.
Mandy is wonderful. She is there for me when I need her the most. The both of us enjoyed another great weekend together. Fun at Famous Dave's, her house, D&D, and her house again. I'm glad Mandy's family likes me around. I would respect them even if they didn't, that's just the person I am.

I missed work today due to an illness from the testing solution I had administered to me yesterday at the hospital. To pass the time I watched the first twelve episodes of FullMetal Alchemist. Followed by seven episodes of Family Guy. What a boring day.

I have the urge to work on my Lanparty Xbox, but havnt gotten started with it. I intend on removing it from its stock case and installing it into an extreme green enclosure I got off ebay. Its identical to the Halo 2 case without all the writing on it. When I have a few extra bucks I want to install a modified LG DVD drive. This will allow me to play any type of media. So when I go to the next Xbox Lan I will be dialed in.

Playing Ultima Online has been my biggest time killer of late. Training up my Paladin is coming along nicely. Along with my fishing character I am making boat loads of gold. I plan to save this gold to purchase a larger in game home. Some of you reading this know how long Ultima has been around, this effects the economy greatly. Inflation is a problem.

October first we are going to have a starparty at my co-workers home. She has alot of land and has a nice unobstructed view of the heavens. My 10" Meade should be able to give a great show. I plan on locating the planets, and a galaxy or two for the others to see.

My next month looks busy. Hopefully all my medical stuff will be ironed out by then.

10:59pm: Craptacular day.
The subject above describes how my day went. It started at 8:30am. I went to my doctor and had blood taken. Next I had to fast for another three hours, drinking a contrast solution that made me very ill to my stomach. I had to drink one every hour for three hours, then when I got to the hospital they made me drink another.

Each of these are 13oz. of liquid and the taste was horrible. Then I had an IV put in my arm. When they started the CT scan it auto injected me with a contrast fluid for my blood vessels. They told me I may get a warm sensation and a bad taste in my mouth from it.

I laid there and when the process started I felt my self heating up from the inside. The heated feeling was so strong I thought I would pass out. This was the worst feeling thing I have had done, besides when they put me under for surgery. After this test was over I had to take some back xrays in a different room. Everything was over or so I thought. When I got home around 3pm I started suffering from bowel pains. I read on the net that the contrast fluid can do this.

Below is a picture of the machine used for my scan. A crazy device to say the least.

The new XBOX is being built as we speak. I'm looking forward to seeing one in action. The release date is going to be November with only a million of them for the US. Too expensive right now, I'll wait this one out till the PS3 comes.

Here's a picture from ACEN 2005. I enjoyed 2004 more though.

10:28pm: Ultima
Tonight was a night for Ultima. I have been playing this game quite abit lately. Right now I am training a Fighter that uses the Axe, which combined with the Lumberjacking skill gives you one hell of a hit. He also has Chivalry which always him to buff his attacks and provide quick heals. On the healing side he also has the "Healing" skill which allows you to heal with bandages during combat, just takes longer and can be interupted by being hit. Should be fun. They really have made the game interesting. You now can join up with other mages in battle and do a co-op spell thats really powerful. Who would have thought that this would last eight years.

The picture below is me doing the boring boat training. Its a method of raising your skill by sailing across the open ocean. Skill gains come from doing the skill and moving.

10:10pm: Losi
Last night I got a call from an old friend. His name is Joe and we used to race R/C vehicles at the local indoor off-road track. Race night was the most fun I had back in the 90's. We would meet as a group of people and race our electric buggies and trucks. I was above average but not one of the top five racers. There was food and music and we would stay till one in the morning some nights. I really miss this hobby. So when Joe told me a Hobbytown USA opened in Crystal Lake, my interest renewed. I went online this evening and found one of my favorite R/C companies. I may be buying one of these cars again.

1:07am: White Dove
I should be asleep by now. All of a sudden I found the perfect song for my Gunslinger AMV. Its going to be the Scorpion's "White Dove" song. The song is perfect and sounds wonderful. I even have parts storyboarded in my head. The lyrics are as follows :

A place without a name
Under a burning sky
There’s no milk and honey here
In the land of god

Someone holds a sign
It says we are human, too
And while the sun goes down
The world goes by

White dove
Fly with the wind
Take our hope under your wings
For the world to know
That hope will not die
Where the children cry

Waves, big like a house
They’re stranded on a piece of wood
To leave it all behind
To start again

But instead of a new life
All they find is a door that’s closed
And they keep looking for
A place called hope

White dove
Fly with the wind
Take our hope under your wings
For the world to know
That hope will not die
Where the children cry

Na na
Na na na na
Na na na na na na na na
Na na
Na na na na
Na na na na na

Can anyone tell me why (can anyone tell me why)
The children of the world (the children of the world)
Have to pay the price (pay another price)

And now your telling me
You’ve seen it all before
I know that’s right but still
It breaks my heart

Well, the golden lamb we sent
Makes us feel better now
But you know it’s just a drop
In a sea of tears

White dove
Fly with the wind
Take our hope under your wings
For the world to know
That hope will not die
Where the children cry

White dove
Fly with the wind
Take our hope under your wings
For the world to know
That hope will not die
Where the children cry

Na na
Na na na na
Na na na na na na na na
Na na
Na na na na
Na na na na na

...

This is going to one awesome AMV. Now for the storyboarding.

5:23pm: The Doc is in!
Today was interesting. I went to my doctor today to have some minor things checked out. Now I'm getting hit with a barrage of tests. Blood, CT scans, Xrays, you name it I'm doing it. The doctor was worried that I may have something serious. My gallbladder surgery did not cure the original pains I was having before. I personally think its a stomach problem and that they will find it out really quick. I'm glad to have gone in and started the ball rolling again. I was living with the symptoms for a few months after the surgery to make sure they were not just residual pains.

Saturday : Mandy drove up to my place to hang out, and suprised me with a really cool gift. It was a vintage 8mm Bell and Howell camera she found at a sale. I love it! She called me that morning, before coming over, to see about going to a gaming club at NIU. I wanted to, but it was short notice for me. So we have tentatively setup a date to go. I have a feeling it may change if I have to under go some medical procedures. Anyway we had a great night together. I took her to my local Chinese resturaunt called China Light. We had Mai-Tais that can drop you on your ass fast! They were cheap as hell too! The cool thing was it was Mandy's first time not getting carded for alcohol. Later we watched an episode of Gunslinger Girls and Sin City. Sin City was crazy, what little bits of the movie I saw.

Sunday : I drove Mandy and the others to D&D. Azure, Mandy's close friend, showed up. I was really excited to get a new player in the ranks. It helps if someone can't make it. We have to act like body guards at the game shop. The boys and men are not used to seeing attractive women playing games there. One kid almost fell out of his chair checking out Azure as she walked by him. I laughed, then I saw a guy staring hard at Mandy, and I stared back. I actually don't mind other men looking at Mandy, it makes me feel even more special that we are together.

Doug showed up looking ragged that day. We walked over to Subway together, then all of sudden I don't see him in line with us, and he's walking out the door without getting anything. I found it very rude until later when I found out why he had left. His spirits brightend a lot when we started playing one of his favorite card games called "Beer Money" & "Lunch Money". The game is very good. Its a fun Free for All style, but sucks when you get bumped off right away.

That evening I had a long talk with Mandy that made me feel better when I was done. I do not like to hide from telling someone, especially someone so important in my life, how I feel. I then saw a deeper level of her personality that I had not known before that night. She is simply wonderful.

11:15pm: I'm here.
I had an awesome weekend. Sunday was the last day of the drive in theater's season. Mandy and her girlfriend went. Sky High and Brother's Grimm were playing, though I didn't personally care for them. I met a cool group of people there. Parked in front of the projector area was a '56 Oldsmobile. I went over and started up a conversation with the owner Ed. Him and his buddies travel around the state visiting the different outdoor theaters. One of them was filming everything with his camcorder. They told me to visit www.drive-ins.com , where they hang out and show their pictures. Pretty cool hobby, seeing a '50s car fits perfectly with the atmosphere, though there were no ladies present in their party. Mandy and Azure had fun playing in the back seat, it was a riot. Monday I went over to my friend Chris's house for a birthday bash. His younger brother's both had birthdays and the entire family was celebrating. He is Mexican, and they really know how to throw a party. We had so much beer, chicken, pork, beans and rice to choke a horse. While we were eating, one of the invited friends started talking about his hacked PSP. I told him about my Xbox sucess and it interested him. Later that night the kid came back with a beat up PS2 and told me I could have it to mess around with. I had mentioned I wanted to mod a PS2 but thought it was too much of a hassle, which it still is. That night I watched Appleseed. This movie had the most breathtaking graphics I have seen in awhile. The storyline fell short though. I did not care for all the stupid techno human talk...lame stuff. When the movie was over we played some Hulk on Chris's Xbox. The game is intense. Looking forward to being with Mandy this weekend and D&D gaming Sunday. A new player is coming hopefully! and its another lady!

Here is a desktop background I found recently in my old pictures folder. This game was cancelled.

8:07pm: I am happy.
I was sitting at my computer tonight and realized how happy I am. I have been blessed with an awesome relationship, words only begin to describe how I feel. Just know that I am on cloud nine and the only way I'm looking is up! I had to cancel our D&D Sunday so Mandy and I can go on a special double date. Most of the guys understand and are not upset. We tried for tonight but it wasn't a good day for the other couple. Looking forward to a fun weekend!

Another test grabbed from Mandy's LJ. So much fun!

Pure Nerd
65 % Nerd, 34% Geek, 21% Dork
For The Record:

A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in Nerd, earning you the title of: Pure Nerd.

The times, they are a-changing. It used to be that being exceptionally smart led to being unpopular, which would ultimately lead to picking up all of the traits and tendences associated with the "dork." No-longer. Being smart isn't as socially crippling as it once was, and even more so as you get older: eventually being a Pure Nerd will likely be replaced with the following label: Purely Successful.

Congratulations!

9:41pm: HULK SMASH!
You guessed it! I'm playing a new game for my Xbox. Hulk Ultimate Destruction. This game is a huge stress reliever. You get to run around throwing cars, smashing buildings, jumping onto towers, ect...too cool. The boss was gone all day at work, so it went really smooth. Though our resident puppies love to leave little presents for me to clean up....I love the little dudes but damn their pooping. They are older Dauchsaunds and have problems holding it.

I sometimes miss the stress free enviroment of the pet shop I used to manage. Now its one mistake and it could cost in the thousands of dollars, though I do enjoy the challenge of jewelry crafting. Everyone thinks I'm the owner when they come in to take about custom jobs, repairs, ect. I'm happy that I have the knowledge to guide them. You guys out there should comment on a lady's jewelry....they love it! Well I'm off to play some Ultima Online. They just upgraded the game to include an elven race. Everyone is excited.

HULK SMASH!

10:22pm: Loving Full Metal
I watched episode 5 of Full Metal Panic Second Raid tonight. It rocked, just like the others have. My friend Chris watched them but I don't think he cared about the mechs, but he was digging the assassin chicks, which btw are very hot! They do some serious damage...this series is crazy.

Then I did this Love test, as seen on Sarcasticcat's LJ.

The Surprising Lover
59% partner focus, 42% aggressiveness, 60% adventurousness
Based on the results of this test, it is highly likely that:

You prefer your romance and love to wild and daring rather than typical or boring, you would rather be pursued than do the pursuing and, when it comes to physical love, your satisfaction comes more from providing a wonderful time to your partner than simply seeking your own.

This places you in the Lover Style of: The Surprising Lover.

The Surprising Lover is a wonderful Lover Style, and, like the name implies, is often filled with hidden delights and talents that might not be apparent from a surface knowledge of the person. The Surprising Lover is rather like a geode--sometimes rough on the exterior, but filled with beauty and wonder. The Surprising Lover is thus a gem to find, though it can sometimes be difficult to do so because they often tend to be humble and unwilling to reveal their inner greatness unless they're in a rewarding relationship.

In terms of physical love, the Surprising Lover really shines, often highly imaginative and utterly devoted to bringing the heights of pleasure to the one that they truly love. Given a rewarding, reciprocative relationship, and the right lover, the Surprising Lover can be a delight in bed.

Best Compatibility can probably be found with: The Carnal Lover (most of all) or the Exotic Lover, or the Suave Lover.

Congratulations!

If you enjoyed this test, I would love the feedback! Also, you might want to check out some of my other tests if you're interested in the following:

I was bored at work today till I saw a Pokemon PT Cruiser parked out in front of our store. I swiped the camera we use for our jewelry appraisels, and ran out to snap a picture of it. The guy who got out of the Pokemon vehicle, I'm guessing his name was Moe, ran away from me when I asked him to pose with the car. It was funny. He probably didn't know what to think. I later found out he went into our sister company to sell some coins. Carl that works there was all excited to talk to this guy. Carl is really into SNES gaming. So suffice to say we have to go out to this shop on some future Sunday to check it out. The cool thing is its in a vintage auto mall, where there are some very awesome classics to look at.

10:07pm: New edition to the family.
I am an avid gameboy collector and today I got my special clear edition color gameboy. It was an import and is used. I normally like brand new and sealed systems, but this particular one never comes up for auction in that condition. I sold off all of my SPs because they were too much money tied up for what they were. My main collection will be focused on the gameboy color and pocket models. I need a red and gold pocket edition to complete my US set. The color collection is complete except the japanese varieties. Its alot of fun. I still enjoy firing up one of these older systems to play on.

Today was another super easy day at work. I have off on Saturday for my Grandfather's Funeral. I will say a few things about him in front of my family to pay my respects. Life goes on...the hardest hit of course is my Grandmother. My father seems to be ok, but we will see how he is on Saturday.

I've been playing Ultima Online quite a bit lately. A guild member sold me a larger home which is in an awesome location right by the ocean. A lady named Aphrodite lives next door to me. She is a great person to hang with in the game. I believe her husband plays the game too. Trying to keep busy doing other things besides Xbox crap right now.

uni
You are Form 3, Unicorn: The Innocent.

"And The Unicorn knew she wasn't meant to
go into the Dark Wood. Disregarding the advice
given to her by the spirits, Unicorn went
inside and bled silver blood.. For her
misdeed, the world knew evil."

Some examples of the Unicorn Form are Eve
(Christian) and Pandora (Greek).
The Unicorn is associated with the concept of
innocence, the number 3, and the element of
water.
Her sign is the twilight sun.

As a member of Form 3, you are a curious
individual. You are drawn to new things and
become fascinated with ideas you've never come
in contact with before. Some people may say
you are too nosey, but it's only because you
like getting to the bottom of things and
solving them. Unicorns are the best friends to

8:39pm: Another summer day.
I lost my Grandfather to cancer this morning. The family got together tonight for dinner. It was a somber mood, with most of us not knowing what to say to each other. The funeral is Saturday. He was my Father's father. The main things I remember of my Grandfather was his drilling questions everytime I saw him. I used to hate it as a kid, but I learned as an adult he cared immensely. We had a lot of fun times, most being when we played cards together. I was on an even level with him then. He was 83 and lived a good life, and left this world with no pain and family by his bedside. This would be the way I would like to leave.

Below is a Naruto test I took. I was pleasently suprised by the result.
